Sitka Activator Fund Wrap-Up Gathering

We warmly invite the thirty-two Cohort 1 grant partners to gather for a day dedicated to celebrating, connecting, and reflecting on our shared work to protect and restore the Salish Sea.

This nourishing, in-person event is designed to nurture cross-pollination among this dedicated community of environmental stewards. Together, we will dive into various discussions which will help us foster deeper connections, uncover shared priorities, and identify new opportunities to work together to activate change.

Your organization is welcome to bring up to two team members; please ensure you select a ticket for each person in your party during checkout. The Sitka Foundation is pleased to provide travel support for attendees traveling from outside Vancouver. To be eligible for travel coverage, both you and your guests must complete registration prior to September 15th. We warmly encourage you to participate in this gathering as part of the first cohort of Activator funds, which we proudly shared in your original grant letter.

Please come prepared to share some highlights from the year's work and any challenges you navigated along the way. We will create space to workshop challenges and to reflect on your work - and the Activator Funds’ purpose - from the past year. To conclude our gathering, our host venue, the VanDusen Botanical Garden—a fellow Activator Fund grantee—has kindly invited us on a site visit. We encourage attendees to wear comfortable, weather-appropriate attire for the outdoors.

The event will take place at VanDusen Botanical Garden in Vancouver, BC. Check-in and morning registration open at 9:00 AM, with the main program running from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM, followed by the optional site visit through VanDusen after 3:30 PM. A full agenda, exact room location, and parking information will be sent prior to the event once you have registered via Eventbrite.

The event is free to attend. We require that you RSVP to ensure that we can prepare accordingly to accommodate those attending. Complimentary lunch and snacks will be provided.
