About this Event
Join our Sisters in Harmony Santa Cruz community for an evening of nourishment
With guest songleader Amanda West
The Sisters in Harmony community is a warm-hearted circle of women, inviting you to come home to your voice, uplift your spirit, and connect with others through the transformative power of song! We are singing together in a closed circle every Wednesday evening this Fall season. When we host our guest t song leaders, the circle is open to the public. Though this is traditionally an all-women's space, ALL genders are welcome here for this drop-in event.
Amanda West is an award-winning singer-songwriter, music teacher, community leader, and mother. With 7 self-produced albums and numerous singles, she has toured in both the U.S. and Europe. In 2014 she co-founded Womb Song, U.S., an organization that supports women in motherhood through song. This work continues through community singing circles, rituals, and workshops. Understanding music to be a part of our human birthright, and playing an essential role in our experience of being alive, Amanda has found her life path and greatest joy through sharing music with others.
Heather Houston, founder of the Sisters in Harmony movement, is a soulful song leader, choral director, and women’s vocal empowerment coach based in Santa Cruz, CA. Leading women’s song circles since 2003, she creates safe, sacred spaces for women to gather in song - spaces where healing, connection, and the power of voice are woven into every note. Through her transformative retreats, vibrant choirs, and heart-centered courses, Heather invites women to reclaim their voices, awaken their joy, and experience the magic of harmony. Her original music, rich with heart and spiritual depth, is sung around the world, carrying the spirit of sisterhood and healing wherever it goes.
