🌸 SISTERHOOD FAMILY DAY OUT 🌸 Horniman Museum & Gardens – A Day of Family, Fun, Culture & Adventure! Come and join the Sisterhood Sisters for a wonderful family day out at the Horniman Museum & Gardens in Forest Hill, London.

🎟️ Sisterhood Event Ticket: FREE – reserve your place through Eventbrite Bring the children, invite a friend and come along for a day of exploring, learning, laughter, culture and making beautiful memories together.
🌺 What We'll Be Exploring:
🌴 Jerk 'n Tings We'll enjoy the Caribbean atmosphere of Jerk 'n Tings, with food, music, culture and plenty of family-friendly fun.
🌊 Voyage to the Deep We'll explore the exciting underwater-themed Voyage to the Deep experience and discover more about the fascinating world beneath the sea.
🐐 Animal Walk We'll head to the Animal Walk, where families can see animals including alpacas, goats, sheep, guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens.
🕧 Animal Walk opening time: 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM 🎟️ Animal Walk entry: FREE We will plan our visit so that we can enjoy the Animal Walk after it opens at 12:30 PM.
🐙 Octonauts: Adventure at the Horniman The children can also enjoy the Octonauts adventure trail, exploring the museum and gardens while taking part in a fun family adventure.
💜 Our Sisterhood Family Day:
This isn't just a trip to the museum. It's an opportunity for our Sisterhood families to come together, meet other families, let the children have fun, explore somewhere new and create lasting memories. Come ready for a relaxed and enjoyable day. You can take part in as much of the day as you and your family would like.

As part of our Sisterhood's commitment to giving back to our community, we are also collecting donations to help children and families who are struggling with the cost of getting ready to return to school after the summer holidays. If you are in a position to help, you can make a small optional donation when reserving your Eventbrite ticket. You are also welcome to donate on the day if you would prefer. There is absolutely no obligation to donate. Please only give what you can comfortably afford. Every contribution, whether big or small, will help us support families in our community with essential back-to-school needs. Together, we can help more children return to school feeling prepared, confident and supported.

Our Sisterhood Family Day is designed to be relaxed, flexible and enjoyable for every family.
You are very welcome to follow the full itinerary with us from 11:00 AM onwards, or you can choose only the activities that you and your family would like to take part in.
You can join us later, take a break, skip an activity, enjoy the free attractions only, book one of the paid experiences, or leave whenever you are ready.
There is absolutely no pressure to take part in everything. 🌸 Whether you spend the whole day with us or simply join us for one part of the adventure, you are still very much part of our Sisterhood Family Day.
💜 Come along, enjoy yourself, go at your family's own pace and take part in as much or as little as you would like.

OUR MEETING POINT:
Please meet the Sisterhood at 11:00 AM at the front entrance of the Horniman Museum, near the garden pathway. We'll welcome everyone, get the families together and explain our adventure trail before setting off. Please try to arrive on time so we can enjoy as much of the day together as possible.
💜 --- 🐙 STOP 1 — 11:15 AM OCTONAUTS: ADVENTURE AT THE HORNIMAN Our first stop is the FREE Octonauts Adventure Trail!
⏰ Open: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM 💷 FREE 📍
Location: The trail takes place across the Museum and Gardens.
Pick up your FREE Octonauts trail sheet from the Ticket Desk and join the Octonauts crew on their mini-missions!
The children can:
🐚 Search for shells
🎵 Explore musical instruments
🌊 Discover underwater facts
🚤 Design an underwater vehicle
🐙 Complete Octonauts-inspired activities
🌳 Head outside to the Sound Garden for a bonus adventure!
We'll spend approximately one hour exploring together.
--- 🍎 12:15 PM — SHORT FAMILY BREAK We'll stop for a short:

🚻 Toilet break

Families are welcome to bring snacks and packed lunches.
Then we'll make our way towards the top of the Gardens ready for the Animal Walk opening.

we'll visit the wonderful Animal Walk.
📍 Location: At the top of the Horniman Gardens

This is an optional PAID exhibition, so families who want to experience it should book their tickets in advance where possible.

Once we're at Jerk ’n Tings, it's time to relax and enjoy ourselves! Families can enjoy the music, food and atmosphere and spend time getting to know other Sisterhood families. You do not have to stay until 6:00 PM. Stay for as much or as little of the afternoon as works for you and your family.
--- 🎒💜 OUR BACK-TO-SCHOOL COMMUNITY COLLECTION We're also using our Sisterhood Family Day to give something back to our community. We are collecting donations to support children and families who may be struggling with the costs of preparing for the new school year. If you're able to help, please consider bringing:

The Horniman says Music, Jerk ’n Tings is outdoors and goes ahead whatever the weather, with limited seating, so it would be sensible for families to dress for the weather. The official event also says entry is through the main London Road entrance, then up the Avenue to the ticket gate.
