In celebration of our current exhibition ‘Passion and Politics: Sissinghurst and Greece’, join us for an afternoon of talks with leading experts from the Classics Department of Kings College London and the National Trust.‘Passion and Politics: Sissinghurst and Greece’ is sponsored by The Centre for Hellenic Studies at King's College London.

Featured talks include:
- ‘Venizelos & Sissinghurst’ by Koraes Professor Gonda Van Steen: Examining the effect of Harold's close relationship with Greek Prime Minister Veniszelos on modern Greece and Sissinghurst
- ‘George Seferis & his English Friends’ by Emeritus Koraes Professor Sir Roderick Beaton: The relationship between Harold and this Nobel Prize winning poet and diplomat
- ‘A Political Humbug: the Delian Altars at Sissinghurst’ by National Trust Curator Dr Jerzy Kierkuc-Bielinksi: Exploring the familial history behind the antique altars in the Delos garden

- Tickets are available for £15 per person
- Your ticket includes access to the garden from 4pm once the event finishes. Car parking charges still apply for non-NT membesr
- If you arrive *before* the event and want to explore the garden, you will need to pay for entry at Visitor Reception.
This event takes place upstairs in the Oast Exhibition Space.
