About this Event
Join us for an instructor-led introduction to crochet as part of our Spring Crafting Series. This 2-hour class is perfect for beginners or anyone interested in learning a new handmade skill.
We’ll begin by exploring how crafts like crochet connect to farming, sustainability, and the mission of Gorman Heritage Farm. Then we’ll dive into the basics, learning a few foundational stitches and practicing them as we create a simple square that can be used as a dishcloth or pot holder to take home.
All materials will be provided, along with warm tea to enjoy as you craft, relax, and connect with others.
Each participant will also take home a small crochet starter kit and a packet that includes a brief history of crochet, its benefits, how it connects to the farm, simple stitch instructions with visuals, and the pattern used in class so you can continue creating at home.
Join us this spring to learn something new, enjoy good company, and help build a welcoming crafting community!
