Sip & Stitch- Beginners Embroidery Workshop
About this Event
You all loved the first Get Offbeat's Sip n' Stitch we organized and we have come up with another one for attendees who couldn't join earlier. Come stitch, sip, and slow down for an evening.
Sip & Stitch is a beginner-friendly embroidery workshop where you'll learn to hoop your own fabric, try a handful of foundational stitches, and turn them into a finished pattern, all while sipping coffee and enjoying a sweet treat at Ararat Cafe & Bakery.
No experience needed. All supplies are provided, you just bring yourself (and maybe a friend).
What you'll learn:
- How to hoop fabric properly
- 4 - 5 essential embroidery stitches including flower patterns, and basic stitches for beginner embroidery
- How to read and follow a simple pattern
- Thread basics, types, weights, and how to choose colours that work together
What's included:
- All embroidery supplies (hoop, fabric, needles, embroidery floss)
- One coffee from Always Coffee Downtown
- Full guided instruction from start to finish
Good to know:
- This is a small-batch class, so instruction is hands-on and personal
