About this Event
For millennia, humans have gazed at the stars with their eyes and simple telescopes, catching only a tiny slice of the universe’s story.
Today, we can explore the cosmos in ways our ancestors could only dream of through ultraviolet, X-rays, infrared, and even gravitational waves and cosmic particles. Each celestial object shines differently across the spectrum, and only by combining all these “colours” of light can we truly understand the universe around us.
Join us for an evening of curiosity and discovery as we uncover the multicoloured secrets of the cosmos, sip in hand, wonder in mind.
Lecture starts at 6:30PM, come earlier to grab a drink
Speaker: Dr. Nathalie Ouellette, Dep. Director (iREx+ OMM) at the Université de Montréal and Canadian Outreach Scientist for NASA's JWST
