Sip and Create | Exploring Color: Theory and Play

Come for the art, stay for the fun! ArtsWestchester welcomes you to Gallery Night Out: Sip & Create, a monthly social for adults 18 and over in downtown White Plains. From February through December, a creative expert will lead guests through a hands-on art-making project designed to spark imagination.

Join us for a hands-on session that blends color theory with creative exploration. We’ll start with an introduction to basic color vocabulary and Josef Albers’ principles of color relativity. Participants will then engage in guided color mixing to create custom color papers and use them in interactive exercises to discover how colors interact and influence perception. Perfect for artists and enthusiasts looking to deepen their understanding of color relationships while experimenting in a fun, collaborative environment.

ArtsWestchester’s historic landmark building at 31 Mamaroneck Avenue is the perfect relaxed and social environment to gather with family and friends, enjoy a date night, or network with fellow art enthusiasts, all while engaging in arts activities – from music and ceramics to dance and painting.

The 2026 season offers a variety of art workshops at a reasonable cost. Ticket prices include the workshop, art supplies and two complimentary beverages of your choice. Snacks and/or small bites available for purchase. All skill levels are welcome!
