Heaven or Hell? Angels or Demons? It's time to pick a side, sinners. 😈
Join us for our next Sins & Sorcery event, where we're stepping into the dangerously addictive world of The Shadows That Listen for an evening of juiiiicy romance, heavenly temptation and a little devilish mischief ;).
Whether you arrive as a heavenly angel, a fallen celestial, a wicked demon or something deliciously in between... dressing up is HIGHLY encouraged! (But as always, completely optional!)
We'll kick off the evening with our signature book club discussion...
And because we love a good plot twist ourselves... WE'RE BEYOND EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT LOUISA CARMODY HERSELF WILL BE JOINING US! 🤯
That's right queens! We'll be sitting down with the author of The Shadows That Listen for an exclusive author chat (AHHHH!!) where we'll uncover the inspiration, secrets and juicy behind the scenes details of the book. (plus we will be (lovingly) grilling her for hints of book 2).
But the night doesn't end there...
Expect themed activities, a little heavenly competition, devilishly good prizes, immersive experiences and plenty of opportunities to unleash your inner angel (or demon).
We'll also have a fab selection of local businesses joining us, bringing their own little slice of heaven and hell to the evening. Think books, jewellery, artwork, fantasy-inspired goodies and more! Some snacks and drink are provided, however you can also purchase some delicious toasties from our regular vendor: Tourmaline Toasties!
Whether you're bringing your fellow fallen angels, dragging along your favourite demon 😉 or bravely descending into the underworld alone, you'll find a room full of romantasy lovers ready to talk, laugh, obsess over fictional men and make some new bookish besties.

Whether you come alone or with friends, our goal is simple: to create a space where book lovers can meet their people, dive into passionate conversations, embrace a little escapism and finally have an excuse to wear the outfit that's been waiting in their wardrobe.
We also love shining a spotlight on incredible local women in business, collaborating with artists, makers and creators whose work helps bring each event to life.
