On the October long weekend, Sydney Organs is heading back to the Hunter Valley to visit Singleton Uniting church to play, chat and record the 1885* Charles Richardson organ.This Organ has quite a bit of history behind it being the First Organ Charles Richardson designed and built under is company name, his only 3 manual organ and being a significant War Memorial to the people of Singleton when it was purchased from its first home (Private residents of Ernest Sutton in Wollongong ) in 1920.
This 15 stop organ has a huge range of colourful stops across its three manual and when built as a home organ perfect for practising many organ pieces. but as a church organ, it sounds wonderful in the building with the acoustic.
