In this special workshop, Lisa Lambe explores some of the songs and stories of the Great Famine. Drawing on traditional song, oral history and her ongoing research into the songs, folklore, stories & memory of the period.
The songs learned during the workshop will be sung again as part of the Famine event later on Sunday, and workshop participants are warmly invited to join Lisa to perform there.
No previous singing experience is necessary. This is a workshop about learning through singing, listening and sharing in the living tradition.
