Singing Ringing Tree Saturday Saunter

Our Saturday Saunters are leisurely strolls for anyone who would like to walk at an easy pace with a group of like-minded individuals. This easier pace may be due to rehabilitation, ongoing illness / injuries, or just general fitness. Children are welcome, too.
Join us on this Halloween morning on a trail of just over 4 miles, easy - moderate walking. From Limey Lane at Clowbridge Reservoir we'll head up through the woodland, following paths to the Singing Ringing Tree Panopticon, which stands proudly above Burnley. This structure is one of 4 sculptures that adorn East Lancashire, and howls a fabulous tune!
Walking will be a mix of tracks, woodland paths and grass. We'll have far reaching views across to Pendle and over the moors. There will be some hills, but nothing too taxing or steep. The total elevation gain is approx. 500ft and there is just one stile enroute.
As with all Abigail's Trails, this is a small-group guided walk led by a professional Mountain Leader. Spaces are limited and cost £8 per person. Well behaved, friendly dogs are welcome, but will need to be on leads for a few sections on this walk due to grazing livestock.
