About the artists:
Emily Hicks is a Utah-based Country/Americana singer-songwriter whose soaring powerhouse vocals, nature-infused lyrics, and quippy stage banter have captivated audiences far and wide. With the release of her debut album, Weird Wild Wonderful, Emily’s music found its way to radio stations across the globe, breaking into the top folk radio charts. Since then, she’s had the honor of opening for some of her musical heroes, including Tenille Townes, Daniel Rodriguez, and Sixpence None the Richer.
Born and raised in a small Midwestern town, Emily’s musical journey began as a classical pianist and music educator before she transitioned into life as a singer-songwriter. She made her official debut in 2021 with three singles produced by Grammy-nominated songwriter Monty Powell. Among them, Goodbye Indiana—an ode to her home state before heading west—quickly became a fan favorite and her most requested song to date.
Emily’s music is a heartfelt reflection of her experiences as a self-proclaimed "granola zillennial" blending folk, country, and pop influences into a sound that feels both timeless and fresh. Her songs invite listeners into her world with raw honesty and humor. Side effects of listening may include (but are not limited to): an overwhelming urge to book a five-day backpacking trip through the Wasatch Mountains, the sudden realization that you need therapy immediately, and/or a newfound appreciation for canned wine.
Sean Biggar is a multi-talented musician with a gift for crafting melancholic blues and soulful western waltzes. Coming from the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area, his live performances are a testament to his ability to infuse every note with raw emotion, creating an atmosphere that resonates deeply with the audience. The energy in the room during his sad song shootout is nothing short of captivating, as Sean pours his heart and soul into each performance. His collaboration with the humble harmonicist Ryan Walker adds an extra depth to the stage, creating a dynamic experience that lingers in the hearts of those in attendance.
They are following the road map left behind by their influences: Roger Miller, Peter Green, Willie Nelson, and Little Walter.
