Sing For Your Supra is a theatrical, musical and sensory experience presented by acclaimed theatre company, Citizen Theatre. In a unique and intimate blend of travel show meets cabaret, you will be transported to the infamous Caucasus region where some of our culture's most enduring stories are thought to have unfolded.
Your guide is Stephanie Clare-Cover who will share stories from her life-changing travels to Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, where, faced with danger, beauty, heartache, and generosity, she learnt what life is really about. Stephanie will also sing songs she was taught by locals in languages such as Georgian, Russian and French and share videos and images of these remarkable places and people. Here, with the Ukraine war raging and a deep history of conflict ever-present, she experienced music as an unstoppable, uplifting force that binds people, creates belonging and celebrates life.
Teas and wines from the regions visited will be served throughout the show to enchant your mind and delight your senses. Concluding with a toast, as is customary in the Georgian ‘supra’ – or feast – Stephanie will impart the life affirming lessons learnt on her once in a lifetime trip, leaving you with a sense of hope and joy.
