Hi, Golfers. As we discussed, I thought it would be good to meet once a month over the winter until maybe March. So let's do some simulator golf. Some of us played before at X-Sport in Downer's Grove and it was very enjoyable.
If you never played simulator golf before, here's how it goes.
You hit off a mat into a giant, floor-to-ceiling TV screen. The screen shows the flight of your ball onto an actual pro golf course (one that we select). We hit drives, approach shots, and pitches.
The simulator does a good job producing a realistic sense of how you are golfing. (We skip the chips and putting, that is less realistic).
Further, we can videotape your swing so you can see how it looks and what you are doing.
We will play for 90 minutes. The cost for four people per 90 minutes is about $25. If we have five people per simulator, the cost goes down to about $20.
They serve food and drink and will have the Bears game on many TV's there too!
I am asking people to prepay. There is a limit of ten people, If more are interested, I will see if we can get an additional bay.
I will send out updates letting you know who has signed up.
Please prepay $20 and we will square up after the event.
