Simply Soil: Plant and Play at Lillington Library

Writers love to play with language - do you know about Roald Dahl's "snozzcumber"? And what would the French put in an aromatic garden of Herbes de Provence?

Come play with words too, and celebrate the joy of planting in the Lillington community garden.
This event is great for:

• Discovering Lillington community garden
• Poetry lovers
• Meeting and socialising with other locals
• Boosting wellbeing through fun and connection
• Helping all ages to learn the benefits of sharing stories, words, and languages
• Discovering what our libraries offer

Time: 3:30pm-4:30pm

Date: Thursday 17th September 2026

Age: All ages (children must be accompanied by an adult at all times)

Booking: This is a drop-in event, so booking is not required. If you do choose to book a ticket, please be aware that it does not guarantee you a space. Participation will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
