Simon’s ACTA2 Fundraiser
On Tues 6/23 we will be hosting an ACTA2 Alliance fundraiser on the patio at The Ford Tavern!
From open to close, 10% of all food orders (dine in and take out) will be donated to ACTA2 Alliance.
We will be holding a raffle in the evening, with drawings from 5:30-6:30PM.

For those who aren't familiar with Simon or his diagnosis:
At 6 months old, Simon was found to have a mutation in the gene ACTA2, causing a condition called MSMDS. His heart, lungs, eyes, and intestines are all affected by this disease. MSMDS leads to strokes and aneurysms at a very young age, often before puberty and sometimes even before school age. The problem is that it is ultra-rare; fewer than 100 children have been diagnosed with this condition, and so researchers struggle with lack of funding. ACTA2 Alliance is a parent-led 501c3 nonprofit that donates directly to the labs and researchers (many of whom are at MGH!) working tirelessly to bring a treatment and a cure to the children who are living with this difficult disease.
This is the one real, tangible thing we can do to improve the prognosis for Simon and dozens of other kids like him. Your donations make a real difference and keep research moving forward. Whether it's approving a treatment, developing a new molecule, or funding a gene therapy, every dollar is thoughtfully and strategically invested to give our children the best possible chance at not just a life, but the greatest quality of life possible.
