Simbang Gabi is a devotional, nine-day Novena of Masses celebrated by Filipino Catholics in anticipation of Christmas, symbolizing the journey of Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem. This is the 25th year this 400-year-old tradition has been celebrated in the Arlington Diocese. Masses will be held at various parishes around Northern Virginia.
St. Philip will hold one of the masses on December 23 at 7:00 pm. Please join us for fellowship and salo-salo (light reception) after Mass.
Every community is welcome to participate that night or witness this tradition at one of the Diocesan churches.
