Silveroot is a new power trio uniting some of Michigan’s most deft artists: Steve Harris on drums, Brian Oberlin on electric mandolin, and Justin Wierenga on electric guitar. Blending funky jazz with adventurous sonic textures, the group uses an array of effects pedals to push their sound beyond traditional boundaries—covering everything from deep bass lines and organ swells to wacka-wacka grooves and far beyond.Paper Sound
Formed in Kalamazoo, Paper Sound is a group of eclectic performers and songwriters who embrace the many complex dualities of music; formality -informality, conventionality -unconventionality, and beauty-vulgarity.
With their songs they seek to challenge the status quo with their absurd naming dynamics and pathological refusal to classify themselves within one style.
