Arthur dreams of a just kingdom ruled by law, but Lancelot’s arrival and his forbidden love with Guinevere threaten that ideal. As betrayal and manipulation undermine the Round Table, Arthur’s vision collapses into tragedy. Lavish musical numbers and sweeping pageantry frame a story of leadership, loyalty, and lost innocence. The film won three Academy Awards, honoring its art direction, costume design, and musical score, cementing its place as a grand Hollywood adaptation of Arthurian legend.
