We’re excited to launch our first ever Silver Gaisce Adventure Journey at Ballyhass!Taking place 7-9 April during the Easter holidays, this is a fully approved Silver Gaisce Adventure Journey for young people who have completed their Bronze Gaisce and are working towards their Silver Award.
Based at Ballyhass Mallow, Cork P51 N990
3 days / 2 nights
2 days hiking + 1 day kayaking
Developed in collaboration with Gaisce – The President’s Award, this journey meets all Silver Gaisce requirements and is fully supervised by Ballyhass’ qualified instructors — meaning participants do not need to source their own President’s Award Leader (PAL).
This makes it ideal for individuals or small groups completing Silver Gaisce outside of a school setting.
Participants stay onsite for two nights in shared bunk-style accommodation, with full supervision throughout. Evenings focus on journey planning, outdoor skills, teamwork, food preparation and outdoor education, including wilderness first aid.
