In this workshop you will be taught the basics of working with silver clay with demonstrations and tips for successful jewellery making. You will be taught how to roll, texture, fire and finish a minimum of one .999 fine silver pendant OR fine silver wrapped ring which will be ready to take home at the end of the workshop (potentially more depending on the size and shape chosen). **Please let me know via the message system which choice you have made**
Please note: if you have a design project in mind - please let us know through the "message the tutor" button, to ensure that you book onto a workshop that gives you enough time to complete the piece/pieces due to the nature of the processes used.
I am a qualified teacher with over 20 years experience and have been teaching silver clay workshops for 12 years. My work is inspired by natural forms; mainly flowers, foliage and the seaside. Please feel free to bring along any small objects like stamps, textured surfaces, natural forms etc. from home which you might like to use, a collection will also be provided for you to pick from.
Participants should be over 16 due to the equipment used in this process. However I am happy to accept participants aged 11+ as long as they are accompanied by a paying parent/guardian but please contact me before booking.
What's included in the price?
7 grams of silver clay and sterling silver jump rings are provided, other findings and necklaces are available to purchase on the day.
No experience needed.
