This workshop is suitable for beginners with no previous jewellery making experience. The workshop allows participants to learn basic techniques and skills to create their own silver ring with a bezel set stone (measuring 6mm).
During this workshop you'll learn techniques such as measuring, ring sizing, texturing, forming, soldering and finishing techniques to create your own unique ring in silver before soldering a ready made bezel. You will then learn how to set your chosen cabochon gemstone using traditional techniques.
The ring making techniques will be practised roughly in copper to allow for experiment and play before going on to create one ring in sterling silver with a bezel.
During this workshop refreshments will be provided.
Places are limited to eight people on this workshop to allow individuals sufficient time with Lindsay to assist with each project.
