Join us for Silly Circuits After School
For girls and gender expansive kids* ages 11-13
FRIDAYS, 4pm - 6:30pm, 8 weeks
September 25 - November 13

In this brand new class, students will gain confidence in understanding electrical circuits and all of their creative potental. We well have lots of soldering practice, practice with prototyping circuits on breadboards, and developing an understanding of the electrical components that make up everyday objects.

This class is great for budding tinkerers and shy kids who need a confidence boost in science or problem solving! We'll have lots of time together to focus on vocabulary, confidence, and developing a STEAM identity.

Each student will work toward making a color changing LED lamp, and a sound effects machine.

If the class is showing “sold out",” we may still have space available! We hold a few spots specifically for financial aid applicants. If you are in need of financial assistance, apply! We get back to you fairly quickly with a registration link or status update.

Accessibility notes:

• Parts of the studio space are not climate controlled.
• Students will be exposed to a dusty space with loud machinery.
• Students will be asked to safely follow directions and focus while performing fine motor skills for periods of time.
• Parts of this workshop are held in a computer lab, which is only accessible by one flight of stairs.
