September is Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month.
Join the Clinton County Veterans Service Commission and community partners as we stand watch to honor veterans lost to suicide and raise awareness for those veterans and families who may be struggling with mental health challenges today.
Throughout the event, volunteers will stand silent guard beside a flag-draped coffin, symbolizing both remembrance and our commitment to ensuring that no veteran fights their battles alone.
🎗️ Honor those we have lost.
🎗️ Support those still fighting.
🎗️ Raise awareness.
🎗️ Start conversations.
🎗️ Help save lives.
Want to stand watch?
Volunteers will serve in 20-minute shifts beginning:
🕗 At the top of each hour (:00)
🕗 Twenty minutes after the hour (:20)
🕗 Forty minutes after the hour (:40)
Simply send us a Facebook message with your name and preferred time slot.
Or better yet, stop by the CCVSC office, shake a hand, have a cup of coffee, and sign up in person. Around here, we still believe a handshake and a face-to-face conversation mean something.
Together, we can ensure that no watch post stands empty.
For one day, Clinton County will stand watch.
