Join UBC Researchers to Study the Health Effects of Human and Nature Sounds in Pacific Spirit Regional Park
A portion of Top Trail (between Huckleberry Trail and Imperial Drive) has been temporarily designated as a "Silent Trail" for a pilot project to understand how reducing human noise can enhance the natural soundscape.
We are seeking volunteers to join our community science project and take measurements in the park.
Activities:
- Measure sound levels
- Record wildlife observations
- Learn to protect natural soundscapes
