• Saturday, March 07 – Round 2: 10:00 AM | Round 3: 3:00 PM
• Sunday, March 08 – Round 4: 10:00 AM | Round 5: 3:00 PM
Tournament Format – Classical Chess:
• Clock Time: Swiss System with Time Control G/90 min + 30 sec increment.
• Forfeit Time: 1 hour from round start time
• Sections: Open, U2000, U1700, U1300
• Rating:
o All sections are CFC-rated
o The top three sections will also be FIDE-rated
Byes: Players may request up to two ½-point byes for rounds 1–4. Any additional byes will receive 0 points. ½-point bye requests to be be submitted before the tournament begins.
Notes: Clocks and chess set are provided
Registration Fees
• Early Bird (Until Jan 31): $70 • Regular (Until Feb 28): $80 • Late (March): $90 • Play-up Fee: $20
• Hospital Staff Discount: $20
Free entry for GMs/WGMS/IMs/WIMs if registered before Friday, Feb/06/2025;11:59PM

• Parking fees apply at the venue, additional nearby parking options are available at low or no cost
Fund Allocation
From Donations:
• 100% of all donations go directly to the William Osler Foundation
From Registration Fees:
• 50% – Donated directly to William Osler Foundation
• 40% – Awarded as cash prizes/Trophies to participants
• 10% – Administrative fees like CFC and FIDE ratings processing
Prizes
• Classical Tournament:
40% of the total registration fees will be distributed as cash prizes.
NOTE: If multiple players tie for the same prize, the prize money for the tied positions will be added up and shared among the tied players.
