No Shelf Control is not just any bookstore. It is a charming boutique-style independent bookstore that takes pride in offering a curated selection of both new releases and gently used books. What sets us apart is that we are veteran and female-owned, bringing a unique perspective to the literary world. We stock a variety of over 2,000 books across the entire spectrum of genres, including politics, mystery/thriller, classics, self-help, children’s books, and many more. We have loads of biographies and fiction books available, and a generous selection of books on religion & spirituality. We also feature a large variety of local authors such as J.S. At Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... it's BYOBook. Our events are free to attend. Friends and strangers gather at a set time and location, order food or drinks if they would like, share what they're reading, and settle in for an hour of silent, sustained reading. At the end of the hour, attendees can socialize—or not!
