Silent Book Club at Rugby Library

Our Silent Book Club is a peaceful and flexible way to enjoy reading with others — quietly. There’s no assigned book, no pressure to speak, and no structured discussion. Just read a book of your choice, find a comfortable spot, and spend time reading in companionable silence. After reading, you’re welcome to stay and chat about books, share recommendations, or simply enjoy the quiet atmosphere.

These sessions are great for:

• Enjoying uninterrupted reading time

• Connecting with others who love books, without the pressure to talk

• Discovering new titles and authors

• Experiencing the library as a calm and welcoming space

• Discovering what our libraries offer

Time: 2:00pm - 3:30pm

Date: First Sunday of every month

Age: All ages (Please note: children must be supervised by an adult at all times)

Booking: This is a drop-in event, so booking is not required. If you do choose to book a ticket, please be aware that it does not guarantee you a space. Participation will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
