Come to Silent Book Club D.C.'s JANUARY meeting! It's Wednesday, January 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the pizza garden* at Sonny's in Park View (3120 Georgia Ave NW). Follow us on Instagram @silentbookclubdc! Silent Book Club works like this: bring yourself and a book (in any format!) to the back patio at Sonny's around 6:30 p.m. Grab a seat anywhere on the patio. We'll chat and order food and drinks**, and starting at 7:00 p.m. we'll all read silently*** for an hour. After an hour of reading you can keep reading or talk about what you read with someone or swap books or order some more food and drinks or head home. It's pretty simple but it's strangely fun to read alone, together.
*The pizza garden at Sonny's is a large, covered outdoor space equipped with fans for the hot months and heaters for the cold ones. Please only attend if you are fully vaccinated.
**Everyone orders and pays for their own food and drinks. To make ordering easier on our group and the amazing staff at Sonny's, we place our orders using the QR codes on our tables. Thank you for supporting the wonderful local business that has agreed to host us!
***We're not reading in a library, so no one is going to shush you for making noise while we're reading. But, like, the point is to read from 7-8pm--so save the discussion for before or after.
