What happens when we experience art beyond sight?
Join us June 8-13 for Sight Unseen, a week-long multi-sensory arts experience bringing together blind, visually impaired, and sighted participants through art, movement, touch, conversation, and shared exploration.
Created in collaboration with MC2 Design, Idaho Dance Theatre, Create Gallery and Frames, and community partners, Sight Unseen invites participants to discover new ways of connecting with creativity, accessibility, and one another.
Throughout the week, guests can participate in workshops, movement classes, tactile art experiences, educational discussions, and community activities designed for people of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Touched by Art
Presented by Create Gallery and Frames, Touched by Art is a tactile exhibition featuring works designed to be experienced through touch, texture, and form. Visitors are encouraged to interact with select artworks and explore art in a way that traditional exhibitions rarely allow.
The Mind’s Eye
Created by Leo Bratenas, Martha Channer, and Craig Mitchell, The Mind’s Eye is an immersive tactile installation that invites visitors to engage through movement, touch, curiosity, and sensory exploration.
Showcase Performance & Silent Auction
Saturday, June 13 | 7:00 PM
The week concludes with a public Showcase Performance and Silent Auction featuring:
• The Mind’s Eye installation
• Touched by Art exhibition
• Performances by Idaho Dance Theatre
• Choreography developed throughout the week by workshop participants
• Food and beverages from Savory Girl Idaho and Boise Beauty Boards

Absolutely. Visitors are welcome to explore Touched by Art, experience The Mind’s Eye installation, observe many of the workshops and activities taking place throughout the week, and attend the Showcase Performance and Silent Auction.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing is recommended for workshops and movement classes. Guests attending the June 13 Showcase Performance and Silent Auction are encouraged to dress up for the occasion and enjoy an evening of art, performance, and community.
