Many veteran spouses carry a quiet weight while balancing caregiving, emotional support, and the unique dynamics that can come with life in veteran households.

Yet spaces intentionally created for spouses themselves are often limited.

Even while living within their communities, many spouses can still experience isolation or feel they have few opportunities to connect with others who understand their experience.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re carrying a lot while quietly holding things together, you’re not alone.

This walk was created to offer something simple yet meaningful: a chance to step outside, breathe, move, and connect with others who understand what it's like to be a veteran spouse.

Creating spaces where spouses can pause, connect, and feel supported within their communities is an important part of strengthening the overall well-being of veteran families.

Whether you're looking for conversation, fresh air, or simply a moment to reset, this space is here for you.

• Casual meet-up at the trailhead
• Easy-paced 30–40 minute walk along the Big Creek Greenway
• Natural conversation with other veteran spouses
• Optional coffee afterward for those who would like to continue connecting

There is no pressure to share or participate in any particular way; simply come as you are.

• This will be our first community walk for veteran spouses
• Easy-paced walk suitable for most fitness levels
• Children are welcome if that makes it easier for you to attend
• Strollers are fine on the paved trail
• Many attendees come on their own, so please feel comfortable joining even if you don’t know anyone yet
