Siddal New Road Balsam Removal Event

Toni's big push to get this Himalayan Balsam removed before it goes to seed.
Once it goes to seed, we have to finish removing it to stop the seed pods bursting and spreading.
If you have some spare time to give a hand, all you need to bring is gloves and plenty of fluids.
Toni has been working on this area this year and a small part of the area is on its 2nd year.
The more we can remove this year, should make it easier 2027 and going forward.
Removing Himalayan Balsam is not just being proactive in getting rid of invasive species, but it allows native species to breathe and grow.
You will find Toni somewhere amongst the Balsam, just give her a shout.
