SIA Door Supervisor Refresher Course with First Aid

This 3 day course will cover your FIRST AID and SIA DOOR SUPERVISOR REFRESHER
First Aid course which will be thought on the first day will provide basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge of health and safety regulations, covering:

• Assessing a casualty – Checking for dangers, responsiveness, and vital signs
• CPR – Performing chest compressions and rescue breaths
• Using an AED – How to use a defibrillator effectively
• Choking – How to assist a choking person
• Shock – Recognising and managing different types of shock
• Bleeding and wounds – Dealing with cuts, grazes, and severe bleeding
• Minor injuries – Treating burns, sprains, and other minor workplace injuries
• Unconscious casualties – Placing someone in the recovery position
• Legal responsibilities – Understanding employer and employee duties regarding first aid
  

SIA Door Supervisor refresher course is compulsory for all door supervisors wishing to renew a licence after 1 April 2025. This course lasts 2 days.

The qualifications update safety-critical skills door supervisors use to keep the public safe, including:

• conducting searches
• physical intervention
• protecting people in vulnerable situations, including content on spiking
• terror threat awareness – ACT/You can ACT certificate
