About this Event
This 7 day course will cover your FIRST AID and SIA DOOR SUPERVISOR training and will be split into seperate dates
First Aid course will last one day and will commence on Monday 7th April from 09:00 - 17:30
SIA DOOR SUPERVISOR course will be taught for 6 consecuitive days in the week from 14-19 April, from 09:00-17:30
First aid course will provide basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge of health and safety regulations, covering:
- Adult resuscitation (CPR)*
- Burns and scalds
- Choking adult
- Communication and casualty care
- Defibrillator prompts and how to respond
- Defibrillator pad placement
- Minor and severe bleeding
- Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)
- Seizures
- Shock
- Unresponsive adult
The SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to work as door supervisors within the UK’s security sector. Door supervisors play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of licensed venues, including bars, clubs, and various events.
Course Content
The training program covers a variety of essential topics, such as:
- Understanding the legal framework for door supervision, including industry regulations and licensing requirements.
- Conflict management techniques and effective communication skills to handle challenging situations.
- Health and safety standards to ensure a secure working environment.
- Procedures for conducting searches in a professional and lawful manner.
- Emergency response protocols for handling incidents like evacuations and medical emergencies.
- Physical intervention strategies to safely manage physical confrontations.
To complete the course successfully, participants must pass both a practical assessment and a written exam. Upon achieving this qualification, individuals can apply for SIA licence, to legally work as door supervisors in the UK, opening the door to numerous career opportunities within the security industry.
