For the first time in New York, Rabindranath Tagore's dance drama Shyama is set to be staged in the authentic style of Santiniketan. The musical direction will be led by renowned Rabindra Sangeet artist Padma Shri Dr. Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya, and the choreography will be handled by distinguished Santiniketan dancer Aankashree Putatunda. Through the joint effort of these two Visva-Bharati alumni, Shyama will be presented entirely in the unique singing and dancing traditions of Santiniketan.You are cordially invited to this unprecedented event.
