“The shred chameleon” as named by Guitar World, Shubh Saran is a New York-based guitarist, composer, and producer who has performed globally with his band. Having grown up in six different countries, his music has been shaped by a mixture of influences. Saran’s songs fuse sounds from progressive rock and fusion with classical and contemporary Indian music. Pitchfork describes his music “a heartfelt exploration of the ups and downs of being part of the world’s fastest-growing floating tribe—part global citizen, part cultural refugee,” and named the album to its list of Best Jazz and Experimental Music of 2021. This fall, he is scheduled to release his fifth release, an EP entitled Being Anybody Else.

Da Land Brass Band

Formed in 2016, this Cleveland-based brass band features high-energy, horn-heavy original songs, funky adaptations of classics, and true roots New Orleans music. Da Land Brass Band has the versatility to make any audience get on their feet and dance. DLBB has had the pleasure of opening for and playing with legendary artists such as Rebirth Brass Band, Big Freedia, Lucky Chops, and Shamarr Allen. In addition to playing weddings, funerals, and corporate events, they’ve played at festivals like Brite Winter, Tri-C Jazz Fest, Fire Fish Festival, and IngenuityFest. They were also finalists in the Best Jazz category at the 2022 Cleveland Music Awards.

Abstract Sounds

Abstract Sounds is a 7-piece Alternative Jazz Fusion band from Cleveland, OH. Led by saxophonist Jevaughn Bogard. The band formed in late 2021 from a collection of jazz and dance music lovers who met over 15 years at Cleveland School of the Arts and who all just couldn't get enough Snarky Puppy , Ghostnotes and Funky Knuckles. Abstract Sounds combines a variety of jazz idioms, soul music, drum and bass and funk. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses deep harmony with a driving drum and bass sound and hard hitting horn lines that will make you want to dance and sing along all night. Some say they can't get these songs out of their head because they can be very catchy at times and relatable. Abstract Sounds strives to bring the dance element back to jazz. Jevaughn has had the pleasure of working along side and opening for artist such as Benny Golson , Clark Terry, Marcus Belgrave, Big Daddy Kane, Aretha Franklin, Chick Corea, Sean Jones, Rufus Reid, Jake Owens, Tye Tribbett, Kim Burrell, DJ Kid Capri, and many more.
