Showroom Shorts - April 2026
Schedule
Tue, 21 Apr, 2026 at 08:30 pm
UTC+01:00Location
Showroom Cinema | Sheffield, EN
We'll have animation, a short Beatles doc, experimental work, a Molly Brown comedy (hurrah - she's back!), some light-hearted drama and more! We've got work from our friends at the Day One Actors Network too - and two films starring upcoming locally-based actress and writer/producer Natalie Yates.
All of the filmmakers will be there to introduce their films and have a chat with Rob Speranza, the event host and director of the SYFN.
Come join us - it's a great way to meet filmmakers who are actively making films, right here in our region! And you never know, you could get involved in what they're doing next!
On the night we will be raffling off some cinema tickets, posters and film goodies as well - you can get tickets for £1 each or £4 for a strip of five - so you get one free!
Best of all it's still a free event to attend! No tickets required!

Eva - Dir. David Addison, 2026 - 7.19
Ada, a driven young woman, takes in her old school friend Eva, a seemingly down-on-her-luck personal trainer. What begins as a kind gesture spirals into emotional entanglement, as Eva manipulates Ada through a web of lies, gaslighting, ultimatums and threats of self-harm. As Ada’s life and finances begin to unravel, she must confront the emotional hold Eva has over her, and make a painful choice between loyalty and self-preservation. Produced by Heather Nelson.
