Showman's Best Camp

Sydell Sheep & Goat Equipment and Clay County 4-H have teamed up to offer this incredible one-day camp as an affordable educational opportunity for youth sheep and goat exhibitors in the upper Midwest. Open to exhibitors of all ages and experience levels, this camp will provide takeaways and hands-on learning guaranteed to help level up your success this show season!

For South Dakota 4-H Members, this event is a Youth Livestock Literacy approved event.

8:30 - 9:00 a.m. Arrival and Registration *no need to bring livestock

9:00 - 9:45 a.m. Introductions, Livestock Judging: What You Need to Know

10:00 - 11 a.m. Livestock Judging: Hands On Experience

11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Session 1

Group A: Fitting

Group B: Feeding and Nutrition *Group B focus is goats

Group C: Showmanship

12 p.m. - 1 p.m. LUNCH, served by Clay County 4-H

1 - 2 p.m. Session 2
