Showgirl 101 with Aquarius Moon

A ticketed fundraiser class introducing the foundations of showgirl and burlesque performance. Proceeds directly support exhibition and production costs for Everybody Wants to Be a Showgirl. This class is open to the public and designed to be welcoming to all experience levels.

This all-levels class blends sensuality, strength, and style — no prior dance experience required taught by international showgirl Aquarius Moon.

You’ll learn:

How to walk, pose, and dance confidently in heels — mastering balance, grace, and attitude.

Core showgirl fundamentals: how to use posture, bodylines, and stage cues to embody stage presence and control.

Elements of face and runway-inspired movement: walks across the floor, striking poses, dramatic transitions, and expressive body language.

A fun, empowering showpony choreography at the end.

The class offers a safe, supportive space where everybody is welcome (showgirl is a gender neutral term so all bodies are welcome in class) — whether you’re walking in heels for the first time or you just want to re-discover your inner performer we would love to dance with you!
