Join House of Hope, Team Williams, and the City of Providence as we celebrate the launch of our new Shower to Empower 2.0 Mobile Shower Unit. Shower to Empower 2.0 represents a significant enhancement to Hope of Hope’s outreach services. The upgraded mobile unit is fully ADA-accessible and includes a wheelchair ramp and wheelchair-accessible shower, ensuring that more individuals can access essential hygiene services with dignity.
“Over the last eight years, Shower to Empower has proven that access to basic hygiene is more than just a shower. It has become a source of connection and serves as a vital first step toward housing. Shower to Empower 2.0 expands our ability to serve our community’s most vulnerable neighbors, ensuring that this resource is accessible to all who may need it.” says Bill Stein, Clinical Director of Training and Development at House of Hope.
The ribbon-cutting event will include remarks from community leaders, Team Williams LLC, and House of Hope staff, followed by tours of the new mobile shower unit. Community members, supporters, local officials, and members of the media are encouraged to attend and celebrate this important milestone in expanding access to services.
