Join us for a monthly Show and Tell & STEM Science Activity, where learning meets fun! Hosted at the beautiful Palma Sola Boat Basin, weather permitting, we will enjoy outdoor activities, making the most of the sunshine. (Will be indoors if needed due to rain)
We invite kids ages 5 and up to explore exciting Show and Tell presentations (yes, live creatures will be welcome, with advanced permission as long as they’re safely contained!), dive into hands-on science experiments, and let their imaginations soar!
Parents: This is a chance for your child to practice 2-5 minutes of public speaking and take questions and answers from the audience of their peers.
Stay and play: in addition to our science fun, kids can bring their bathing suits and towels to cool off in the pool or bounce around on our in-ground trampoline and bounce house.
Please note that the monthly cost will vary based on the supplies needed for our STEM activities. Parents are required to stay with their children throughout the event for safety and supervision.
Get ready for a day filled with discovery, fun, and adventure!
Upcoming STEM activity themes:
September 18: Mantees $5 per student
October 16: Pumpkin catapult $5 per student
November 20: Thanksgiving Butter $5 per student
December 18: Candy Canes $5 per student
You can pay onsite with Venmo @pjvictor or zelle 2394045869 (jenniferhelyne victor)
Here are the 10 commandments for Show and Tell:
• Avoid fragile items: Fragile items are not encouraged due to breakage and other concerns.
• Avoid weapons: Weapons of any type are not allowed for show and tell.
• Avoid live animals: Live animals are not recommended due to allergies and other concerns unless specific permission has been granted.
• Use full sentences: Students should speak using full sentences, not just a list of adjectives.
• Look at the audience: Students should keep their head up and look at the audience as much as possible.
• Use a loud voice: Students should use a loud and clear voice.
• Practice answering questions: Students can practice answering questions like "How does it work?" or "Why is it special to you?"
• Keep presentations short: Presentations should last between 2-5 minutes.
• Use photographs: Students can use and show photographs.
• HAVE FUN! Students should share something they are passionate about.
