I hope you all enjoyed the pictures and reports from the Texas Water Safari, especially watching our very own Kristin Miller WIN the women’s tandem unlimited class!!!
The Safari was epic with a record number of people signing up for our growing sport! And now it is time to get ready for the Trinity River Challenge, right here in N. Texas.
We want to help YOU get into racing so you too can get in on the fun, the camaraderie and good times that is canoe racing in N. Texas!
So we are going to have our first Show and Tell Day where you can come out and try out different boats, learn about paddling and see if this is something you want to get in to.
We are going to have women’s training with Kristin and Charlene as both help you get comfortable with paddles, boats and taking those first steps out on the water.
Several of us will be helping everyone try out the different boats and teaching some paddling basics and leading some paddles up the river.
Whether you are an experienced paddler or brand new, you will get to try out Safari Rigged Aluminums (very stable), Kevlar standard tandem boats (lighter and faster), solo standards and unlimited canoes, standup paddle boards and even some surfskis.
And we will stick around till we have answered every one of your questions and let you try each and every boat you want to try – all for free.
We will have NTX stickers and gear available, food and drinks for everyone and a good time of getting comfortable in the boats and the chance to learn an amazing new sport!
