The husband-and-wife roots-music duo Shovels & Rope perform with a deep intimacy that embraces the audience. Michael Trent and Mississippi native Cary Ann Hearst (originally from Jackson with deep Delta roots) let their voices growl and soar, sometimes twining together, sometimes dancing apart.
