“Shortening the Welding Industry Skills Gap” Sponsored by Fronius

For years, the welding industry has faced a skills gap that is expected to grow even wider. Please join the AWS Mobile Section at the November Meeting where our speaker, Cinnamon Digan, will explain what Fronius is doing to help shorten the welding industry skills gap.

Cinnamon Digan graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology with a Bachelors in Welding Fabrication and Engineering in 2021. Since then, she has worked as an Application Engineer for Fronius USA. In this role she works with customers to determine and apply the best welding processes and practices for their specific application. Fronius is an innovation leader in arc welding with six US locations and offices in over 30 countries worldwide. In addition to welding, Fronius offers leading solutions in solar energy and battery charging.

Also joining Cinnamon Digan from Fronius will be Logan Taylor, Technical Support Rep. and Michael Pavlock, their Field Sales Rep. for MS/AL.

STUDENTS – Make sure you continue to attend the meetings. As we have done in the past, we will be offering special prizes at the end of the year (our May meeting), to the students who attended the most meetings. Also, students, we encourage you to sign up for an AWS membership. Student membership is now FREE! It costs you nothing to join, but everything to gain. Please encourage your peers and family members to attend this meeting.

Instructors – Please post this meeting notice in an area around your school that is easily accessible to your welding students and any student interested in a dynamic career as a design engineer.
