Dear Students,
The Film and Photography Club of Uttara University is excited to announce the Short Video Competition 2026, open to all students of Uttara University. This competition is designed to encourage creativity, visual storytelling, and hands-on filmmaking experience using simple and accessible tools like mobile phones.
Through this initiative, participants will have the opportunity to explore meaningful themes, sharpen their creative vision, and develop practical skills in videography and basic editing. The competition also aims to promote teamwork, confidence, and innovative thinking, while celebrating culture, emotions, and identity through visual media.
By participating, students can build a strong creative portfolio, gain recognition within the university community, and prepare themselves for future opportunities in photography, videography, and digital content creation.

âĸ Videos must be recorded using a mobile phone only

1. Pohela Falgun
2. Valentineâs Day
3. Mother Language Day
âą Duration & Format
âĸ Maximum duration: 1 minute 30 seconds (excluding intro and outro)
âĸ Aspect ratio: 16:9
âĸ Maximum file size: 100 MB
Rules & Guidelines
1. Each team must consist of 3 members only
2. Each team must choose a unique team name
3. The video must be shot within the university premises
4. Any form of adult or inappropriate content is strictly prohibited
5. Editing should be simple and minimal
6. Use of AI in any form is strictly prohibited
7. Background music must be simple and preferably non-copyrighted
8. Watermarks are not allowed
