Have an idea for a short story, but not sure how to take the next step? Need some motivation to get started on crafting a tale? Or are you looking to develop, share, and get feedback on a work currently in progress?Enroll in this four-week short story workshop through Hofstra University's Continuing Education Program!
In this class, you will set your own goal with guidance from the instructor. You can choose to start and work on one short story throughout the four weeks, continue writing a piece already in production, or craft a new tale each class. Each session will begin with a lesson on a component of short story writing. During the meetings, participants will write, revise, and share their stories in a workshop-style setting. Previous experience writing short stories is not necessary to participate in this workshop, though seasoned scribblers are welcome too.
The class will run Thursday evenings, January 16 to February 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Registration is $250.
