As a part of Winter Wonderfest - We invite you to watch some short Films for Changing Times!
Pull up a seat and be inspired! We're screening a collection of short films about people responding to the predicaments of our times, from indigenous food sovereignty to zero waste living - all created by the wonderful team at happen films.
Bookings essential so we can put out enough seats! Book at [email protected]
Total running time: 86 minutes. Films start sharp at 7.15pm and wrap up by 8.40pm.
Cost: a donation of a can of food or pantry item. Some snacks provided.
Here's a hint at what's on the programme:
🌱 Hua Parakore explores the world's first indigenous organic verification framework, established by Te Waka Kai Ora, and follows Dr Jessica Hutchings as she practises indigenous food sovereignty on her small farm in Aotearoa.
🗑️ The Rubbish Trip follows Hannah Blumhardt and Liam Prince, the inspiring Kiwi couple who have lived without a rubbish bin since 2015.
🪱 Ben and bEartha celebrates a community-led composting initiative in Whakatū, Nelson, featuring Ben Bushell and his innovative automated composting machine, bEartha.
