Shore Galleries- Back-to-School Situational Awareness 8/18/26
About this Event
You can't attend every class with them, but you can help prepare them for the moments when they're on their own.
The first weeks of the school year are filled with excitement, independence, and new experiences. They also coincide with the "Red Zone," the period from the start of the fall semester through Thanksgiving when more than half of college sexual assaults are reported.
This interactive workshop teaches practical situational awareness, recognizing danger before it develops, setting boundaries, and making confident decisions.
Participants will also be introduced to everyday, less-lethal self-defense tools such as pepper spray, personal safety alarms, and tactical flashlights, learning how and when to use them safely and effectively.
Give yourself, or your student, the confidence to recognize danger, avoid becoming an easy target, and return home safely.
