Matt Rapa started his journey to run for Visionary of the Year and raise funds when his daughter, McCoy, was diagnosed with High-Risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at just four
years old, Matt and his family faced a terrifying reality. For three grueling years, McCoy bravely
underwent chemotherapy and clinical trials—treatments made possible by those who believed in
funding groundbreaking research. Now in remission, McCoy has one wish for her 10th birthday: to raise
money for pediatric leukemia research so that no child has to go through what she did.
